This case describes the making of Bon Cop, Bad Cop – one of Canada’s most successful box-office films. The story of the film is told from the point of view of Kevin Tierney, the producer. Although there were other notable players, Kevin is the case protagonist. It is a story of power and interference, a common one for many filmmakers in Canada. The case provides insight into the dynamics of Canadian and Québec cultural management in a context where there are significant and dominant outside players.
