Abstract

Set in central Queensland, Australia, the case examines the key concerns of various stakeholders involved in establishing a multi-stakeholder partnership based on the "Creating Shared Value" (CSV) model. The need for a partnership arose following a significant flood that led to the release of hundreds of gigalitres of contaminated coal-mine water into the Fitzroy Basin, affecting nearby cities, water supplies, and local ecosystems. Consequently, regional stakeholders grew alarmed about the rapid decline in water quality in the area.
