Abstract

Ce cas fictif mais inspiré de faits réels raconte une période de l’histoire de Michel Lepage, PDG et fondateur de Câbles du Nord ltée (CNL), une entreprise lavalloise de fabrication de câbles électriques. Il s’agit de la période correspondant au départ de monsieur Lepage à la retraite, un départ qu’il a tout fait pour retarder, mais qu’il n’a rien fait pour préparer. Une fois à la retraite, monsieur Lepage a beaucoup de mal à s’habituer à sa nouvelle vie oisive, aux antipodes de la précédente, ce qui lui donne un sentiment d’inutilité.

Abstract

Il s'agit d'un cas traitant à la fois de la succession dans une entreprise familiale et des conflits entre les générations quant à la gestion et aux relations humaines.

Robert Lepage is preparing to pass the family business on to his two children, Sarah and Alexandre. Differences of opinion soon emerge between the two generations regarding the firm's management, particularly the plan to include an outsider, Tony, as a part owner of the company.
