Three-part case

In 1995, Jacques Marois was the tour director for Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria show when an opportunity arose to extend the very successful North American tour. In a written survey, the cast and crew expressed their unwillingness to extend the tour, but the Cirque du Soleil management chose to go ahead with its plans nonetheless, which led to a threat to strike.
