Ce cas présente l'arrivée de M. Michel Larivière à la direction générale de l'Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal à l'hiver 2001. Sur fond de coupures budgétaires dans le réseau de la santé et d'incitations ministérielles à la performance, le nouveau directeur général de Sacré-Cœur doit composer avec une variété de problèmes organisationnels dont les répercussions pourraient obliger la fermeture de l'urgence de l'hôpital durant l'été 2001.
